How do I get help? You may find this page as well as other useful pages which will help you take full advantage of what PhotoPoints has to offer by using the Help menu found on the top right hand side of every page (see figure below.)
Additional information pages may be found under the Home menu (see figure below.) Some pages which you should read are the Terms, the Rules, and the Etiquette pages.
How do I change my password? You will find the change password functionality by going to MY PHOTOPOINTS and clicking on the Extras link.
How do I submit my first photo? Once you have created an account, you will be ready to start using the system. However, before you may submit your first photo there may be some requirements which you may need to meet. You can find out what those requirements are by clicking on the MY PHOTOPOINTS tab. You will find on the right hand side (see figure below) what the requirements are.
How do I pay for Premium Membership? The link for Premium Membership payment is found on the bottom right hand side (see figure below) of MY PHOTOPOINTS. However, you will not see the link unless your current membership is to expire within the next 30 days or is already expired.
You may pay for your membership either by PayPal, checks or money order drawn on a US Bank, traveler's checks issued by American Express or Visa in US Dollars. In order to pay by check, money order or traveler's checks, you will find a link to the form you would print out which has the address to where to send the check. Another option to pay is via wire transfer. Please email us at premium@photopoints.com to get the instructions for money wire transfer.
How do I change my profile? You may change your profile information by selecting My Profile from the Quick Nav (see figure below.)

While in your profile please, take a look at the photographer's options (see figure below.) Selecting the proper option for you will allow you to take full advantage of what PhotoPoints has to offer.
How can I change/delete a photo? Select the My Photos from the Quick Nav (see figure below). That will give you a list of all your photos. To change the information about a picture a photo click on the Change (see figure below) link on the photo you want to change.
 You can change the description, album, camera, category and process data about a photo, but you cannot upload another photo in its place.
To delete a photo once you have clicked the Change link, go to the bottom and press the Delete button.
My picture doesn't show... It is possible that you submitted a picture and it doesn't show in the main page. The reason for this is that you selected to make the picture private. A private picture will not show up in the main page.
To view a private photo you can select the 'My Photos' from the Quick Nav. That will give you a list of all your photos. Click on the link labeled 'Change' next to the photo (see figures above). That will give you a page which will allow you to change information about your photo. If the photo is 'Private' there will be a check mark next to the word "Private?". To make the photo public, click on the check box to unselect (see figure below) it and save the photo by clicking on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
Why is my name hidden? PhotoPoints hides the name of the photographer for the first 24 hours after submission. We do this to emphasize the photo and not the photographer who submitted it. This is not a foolproof way to hide the name. Many people simply recognize the photos submitted by others because of the style, subject or many other factors. |
